12/07/2009 - The
Midwest Suburban League (MSL) is offering training for umpires
this winter from January 23rd through March 13, 2009. If you are a
baseball-oriented person that knows the game of baseball our
umpiring school is for you. We will have over 2,000 games
between three baseball leagues for our graduating umpires to
work this coming Summer and Fall (April through October) at all
times of the day, Monday through Sunday.
You
control your schedule within our operating framework; work when
you want and as much as you want. The pay scale is roughly
$20-plus per hour. This is a perfect job for the college
students who are home for the summer.
After
you have successfully finished your umpire training you will be
IHSA certified. We will have deals on umpire’s equipment,
which is easily paid for in your first two weeks of work based
on working a minimum of eight games during that time. If you are
interested in joining us for umpire training and would like to
know more about this program and great earning opportunity,
please fill out the
registration
form.
Classes will be held every
Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 3:00pm
starting January 23. The cost for this lucrative, 6-week program is $175.
Your umpiring equipment will be an additional cost of about
$350.
Location: Morton
West High School, 2400 Home, Berwyn, IL. Field House next to the
