Wow, every
division series went three games this weekend. There was
controversy in many forms, but all in all there was some good
baseball being played. With four 1-run games and a 3-run game
being played. The two strongest divisions were won by their
division winner as the Noise now play the Wing Crew for the
North/South Championship and the East/West Championship will be
decided by Tiger Town and Bandits.org. All four our veteran
teams and should make for more great American League Baseball....More |

The playoff races are coming down
to the wire, and with only two more weeks for teams to play a
widely ranging number of games, there are still a few races that
may not be decided until the dust is settled in the last
contest! There’s also the potentially embarrassing – and
entirely possible – prospect of having a team qualify for the
playoffs with only 7 wins. How likely is it that could happen?
Who has the best shot to clinch a playoff berth this weekend?

8/08/08 - The MSL hosted
another successful series of All-Star Games in 2008 that began with
the Central All-Stars in the morning, the American All-Star game
in the afternoon, and the National All-Star Game in the evening...More

MSL Hall
of Fame |
|
07/30/08- The
MSL is proud to announce the very first inductees to the MSL
Hall of Fame. Before the 7:00pm game at the All-Star the
inductees will receive their awards. This years Hall of Fame's
are: Bob Cannella from the Stingrays, Len Phelps from the Reds,
and Jose Dominguez from the Athletics. All three of these
recipients exemplify Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Character.
All have been here from the inception of the MSL. Thank you for
contributing to the success of the MSL. |

Our prayers and Best Wishes are with him. Another old friend will
be retiring from the Navy, and returning to the Chicago area.

All-Star
Game |
|
The MSL has
just secured their 8th season, hosting the All-Star game at
Alexian Brothers Field. July 25th will be this year's game. We
will also be securing a date in September for the Championships. |

If you
and your team are interested in being part of the MSL, please fill

Umpire
School |
|
The MSL will be running a new umpire school in January of 2009.
The time and place will be determined next month. Classes will be
Saturday mornings. The perfect part time job for college students

MSL
Conference |
|
The MSL will be holding it's first off season Conference on
December 7th at 12:30pm Arlington Hgts Library. The Conference is
designed to bring your ideas to the table with the intention of
improving the league. The topics for discussion will be Fields,
Umpires, Championship games in a stadium setting, Championship
rings, corporate sponsorship, playoff format, regionalizing teams,
college player program, fundraisers, and general Q&A. I will
try to have Umpires, Vendors, and AD's in the house. This will be
a managers only conference for this year. Managers please bring
your ideas with you and please R.S.V.P. |
