12/21/2011 Future MSL players, we have a new process we are
implementing for the joining of our league. In the past you would just come
to the draft in March and try out for our managers. Now we have set up what
is the baseball equivalent of the NFL Combine. It's a great tool for you and
the league to make sure a player will be working out for the proper level
within our different leagues. (AAA,AA,A). After you fill out the player
interest form , we would strongly
advise you to come to the Combine at your convinces, at no charge to be
evaluated for one of the three leagues. As you can see we have over 15,000
sq. ft. of our own exclusive winter practice area. We have 2 full 90ft
infields, 2 pitching tunnels with mounds, 2 hitting tunnels, radar, and
every year we add new equipment. Notice the equipment and the renovation of
this site, no other league has anything like this facility for their league.
When you come to the Combine we will print out your player resume, and run
you through infield/outfield/pitching/ and hitting drills. We will then
assess and recommend the league to try out for, many players show up for the
draft and have no idea where to begin. We will essentially get you ready for
the draft, and allow you to join us each week to practice if you wish. There
is a charge for practice, to be determined, but it will be very reasonable.
Players will be able to get into shape for the upcoming draft, no
anticipation on what to except, you will know exactly the process. For those
of you who would just rather show up to the draft that's ok also! We at the
MSL pride ourselves on providing the best program around for playing the
game of baseball. Hours for Combine: Starting on Saturday's Jan. 7th 12:00pm-6:00pm, Sundays 7:30am-11:30am, through March 18th.
